I suppose my Elizabeth icon would be insulting here.
Poor woman--she's already been moved once*:

And really, does it count as repatriation if her son *wanted* her buried in Westminster Abbey?

*I haven't been to most of the important historical sites in England**, but I have been to Peterborough. At which place I apparently insulted someone by answering her question: "I can never keep all the Marys straight. This is Bloody Mary, right?" If you didn't actually want to know, why ask?

**Such as the National Gallery, which is having a very cool exhibit on Renaissance portraiture:

(Why am I so footnote-happy today?)

Oh, I heard about that, and my first reaction was 'Wouldn't it be just as valid to move her to France, considering how much time she spent there?'

Yes--it would be!

Who will they stick on her side of Westminster if they move her? The whole *point* was to make her niche exactly as elaborate and exactly as big as Liz's.

(Although... I'm betting Mary Tudor would just love to stop spending eternity under the harlot's daughter!)

Heh. You may have a point there.
