So The Hollow Crown season 2 started tonight at 9 PM?

Why did I have to randomly turn my TV on to find this out??? Was I just supposed to remember this information from that one press release that came out months ago???

Why does PBS never ADVERTISE its Shakespeare programs???

I can't even watch it, because I have work to do! If I'd known, I would have planned ahead!

Jerk move, PBS. Jerk move.

(also, Great Performances never premieres on Sunday; it's always Friday! What is this new nonsense?)

Oh good, I thought it was just me--that I had missed any advertising for the Hollow Crown, or that it was drowned out by the horrors of pledge week--the obnoxious begging and the even-worse programs.
Does someone at WGBH have evidence that their viewers are great fans of The Carpenters? Or do they think that people will give more money just to make them STOP PLAYING those songs!!

I mean, it's possible that they showed a commercial or two during pledge week and I missed it, since I stay far away from pledge week - but I don't even remember them advertising for The Hollow Crown the last time I watched Great Performances! Grumble.

(Pledge week is awful! I always think to myself, "They must have so many programs in their archives that they could show instead." I would happily watch repeats of Nova, costume dramas, cooking shows…anything but oldies concerts and weight-loss!)

Augh, seriously! Me too! I knew it was coming up but didn't have exact dates.

At least I can just watch on their website.

This is true! Still, it is frustrating - how does PBS expect to get people to watch its programs if it never advertises for anything (that isn't Ken Burns or Downton Abbey, anyway)?
