Having feelings about that totally unnecessary moment where Benedick says, "there's her (i.e., Hero's) cousin, an she were not possessed with a fury, exceeds her as much in beauty as the first of May doth the last of December." It's just so -

Oh, these two idiots. Beatrice can't help mentioning Benedick when absolutely no one is talking about him ("Is Signior Mountanto returned from the wars, or no?"), and here Benedick, for pretty much no reason at all, basically says, "what are you even talking about, Beatrice is WAY prettier than Hero. Not that I've been looking or anything, I mean."

Idiots. I love them so much.

Kind of like "Eugene Onegin," where Eugene is all "That's funny, I would have expected you to go for Tatiana instead of Olga. Oh, no reason . . ."
