But I did finally see a commercial for Macbeth, so there is that. Even if it is the most laid-back commercial ever: the voiceover even says, 'yes, it's Macbeth,' like, '...that's all we've got.'

They didn't do that little dance from Blackadder?

Not that I saw. :)

That little dance has marked me for life. We read "the Scottish Play" in my English Lit class in High School and I read for the Scottish Queen -- this is before I knew about "the Curse" .

I have been watching for the promo on PBS, but I haven't seen it yet.

They only seem to show it occasionally. Unlike commercials for Ken Burns' Baseball, where they'd show two commercials for it back-to-back. I mean, I get that more people are going to tune in for a baseball miniseries than a Shakespeare play, but no one's going to tune in if they don't know about it!

Weirdly, all I remember about reading Mackers in high school is having to write a paper about whether or not Lady M was evil, but we'd only been assigned half the play at that point. Which made a pretty big difference to my interpretation, once we'd finished it!

Um, at least they're positive about it...?

I guess so!

Later on I saw a longer version of the commercial, which is more forthcoming--I think the short version might just have been edited badly.
