BAH. The DVD I was watching has gone all garbled; I was hoping it was dust or smudges, but no such luck. Just about at the halfway point of the film, too--so now I'm hooked but can't finish watching.

Guess I'll be adding the film to my Netflix queue and keeping my fingers crossed...

I hate it when that happens. Do you have one of those DVD cleaning kits? They work really well, even when you can't discern any visible dust or smudges.

Sadly, no! But I managed to watch the second half of the movie this morning without too much trouble. Don't ask me why that worked, but it did.

Can you get your money back?

Oh, it wasn't mine--it was from the public library. So no harm done, really. And I did get to finish watching the movie after all, though I had to do it in stages.
