my library was dukedom large enough
Or too large. I saw a preview for an upcoming news report on the "tiny house movement." Because my mom is a big fan of HGTV, I've seen these tiny houses before, every now and again--and I always think, "Dude, my *books* wouldn't even fit in one of those things."

Of course, I live in a tiny studio apartment, so they don't fit here, either. I dream of someday having an extra bedroom (though I suppose I'd need to have *a* bedroom, first), to handle some of the overflow. My dreams, they are small. :)

There are a lot of journal articles I need, too, but most of the less recent material is still in book format. The problem is that I check out more books than I can actually read, so I can figure out which ones I need and take the rest back--and then I decide that I might only need two, but the other four have chapters I'd like to read, when I get the chance...and they never go back. Sigh.

My personal books are lots of history books I've bought for eventual reference and reading, and a lot of fantasy and YA. The one saving grace is that I tend not to buy fiction unless I know I'm going to want to read it more than once, or have already read it and am adding it to my "favorites" collection. Otherwise I'd be in even more of a mess!
