I'll pass the time like some machine / until blue water turns to green
I have been really unproductive today. This weekend I accidentally spent reading about immortal cyborgs (the other day I had a weird craving to read about Lewis from Kage Baker's Company series, so I went and picked up The Children of the Company and Gods and Pawns from the library). Instead of making up for this today, I returned those books and some DVDs that needed to go back, and somehow spent about two hours reading articles in Script Magazine about movies like Bright Star and Where the Wild Things Are.

I also flipped through the most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly and was amused to find the following in the "Sound Bites" column: "If there's one thing I can't stand, it's an unpunctual alien attack!"

I do actually have things I need to do. I just...can't work up the energy or the will to do them. They make me feel listless and unhappy. As per usual, I suppose.

(Also, I'm a complete idiot when it comes to technology--which is relevant to the above--and I don't know how to fix that in the next day or so, without looking like an idiot who just crawled out of a cave somewhere.)

...But Bright Star and Where the Wild Things Are are two really great films, so that's okay. :)

I paused on this entry when scrolling down my friends page, because I realized I recognized your subject line. That's one of my favorite songs - I have the Silly Sisters version.

Rock on, folk music! \m/

Me too--that's how I know the song, from that version. The line is appropriate for both my mood *and* for books about immortal cyborgs, so I had to use it. :)

I actually haven't seen Where the Wild Things Are yet, though it's in my Netflix queue. But I loved Bright Star--just watched it again on July 4, actually.
