A review of a book entitled Zombie Island: A Shakespeare Undead Novel:

http://historicalnovelsociety.org/reviews/zombie-island-a-shakespeare-undead-novel/

Imagine that Shakespeare is a vampire, and that the Dark Lady he wrote about in his sonnets is a zombie-hunter named Kate...

...oh, do I have to? Can I just not?

I honestly don't understand how these things get made and/or published! Like, even if this book is self-published...that concept seems like it would be awful to have to spend time writing.

I like to imagine that everyone who writes these is just trolling everyone. That they sat down and wrote it as an exercise in writing something irredeemably silly and lolarious and then just laugh, like drains, when they get published - because they sent them to the publisher to troll the poor interns reading the slush pile.

That would actually make me feel better about these books, if that were proven to be true! "Elaborate practical joke" is much easier for me to contemplate than "the writer thought this was a great idea."
