just saying
I'm going to spare you another one of those flail-posts about how Moffat writes Doctor Who like a comedy, but I would like to take this occasion to say that Eleven's fez and mop are totally a fool's cap and bells and bauble.

Yup, and in a stetson, he looks like a Woody doll. I enjoyed the Christmas Special. It was a charming, and a nice diversion from the rest of Christmas fare. Had to work so I didn't see it until late. Not a nail biter, but it had lots of heart. Matt is a lovely tribute to the Classic Doctor, and his comic timing and moments of drama are wonderful. He can get in your face without being "In your face" if that makes sense. He's a charmer and he continues to turn out performances that surprise me.

I am looking forward to the Stetson! This was my mother's first encounter with Eleven, and she wasn't especially impressed, which makes me sad inside. We may have to watch "The Eleventh Hour" to make up for it...
